FIIU7: El Reencuentro
Festival Internacional de Intervenciones Urbanas 2022
Seventh edition of Latin America’s leading urban event on public spaces, fostering dialogue and reflection on the importance of the public realm. El Reencuentro brings together lectures, talks, and activities on Active Mobility, Environmental Crisis, Early Childhood, Neighborhoods and Culture, and Urban Planning. A call to reclaim our cities through activation, placemaking, and collective transformation toward a fair, sustainable, and inclusive future.
Context
El Reencuentro
The FIIU is a space for meeting and exchange between citizen initiatives, social organizations, academic centers, private companies and public institutions interested in reclaiming public space and its use, in order to promote the transformation of cities in a fair, equitable, sustainable and participatory way. In our 4th edition (2019) we gathered more than 1800 attendees in person and in the 6th (2021) we achieved more than 1400 registrations. For 2022, we return in a hybrid format to reach more people in Latin America and the world.

The project was carried out under a communications plan that had the challenge of positioning the return to the festival’s presence without neglecting the digital aspect. Therefore, both the physical and digital parts were carefully addressed to convey the spirit of the festival and achieve its main objective: to be a place of (re)encounter.
